What should I bring?
It tends to be a bit cooler out on the water so we recommend an extra layer! Don’t forget your sunscreen and sunglasses/sunhat as well.
We would recommend closed-toed shoes without a high heel for your comfort and safety while aboard the ship.
Feel free to bring snacks or a bag lunch, but please no coolers due to space restrictions. We also cannot allow any outside alcoholic beverages due to our liquor license.
Are there bathrooms on the ship?
There is a marine head on board which is available for passengers to use but we always encourage passengers to utilize the shore heads before they come aboard! Available public restrooms near Fan Pier include the Institute of Contemporary Art (25 Harbor Shore Drive), Fan Pier Boston (One Marina Park Drive), or the Envoy Hotel (70 Sleeper Street).
Does the ship cancel trips in bad weather?
We make every attempt to go out for scheduled sails regardless of the weather, though we will not sail if the captain deems the conditions unsafe. If for any reason we need to cancel a sail, we will happily reschedule you to a different date or time.
Is there a narrator or historical interpreter on board?
No, but the crew is always happy to share their knowledge of local landmarks and history! If you decide to charter the vessel there are also multiple companies in Boston that can provide an onboard historical interpreter.
What’s the fine print?
Once purchased, tickets cannot be refunded or rescheduled. The Liberty Fleet reserves the right to cancel any sail for inclement weather, a private charter event, or other unforeseen circumstances. If the Company cancels your cruise you may reschedule to another comparable sail, or if unable to reschedule you will receive a full refund for the ticket price.
